66th Venice Film Festival , 'Accident' and 'Prince of Tears' to battle for award

The 66th Venice Film Festival will have its opening ceremony on 2nd and closing on the 12th. Italian director, Giuseppe Tornatore's new film, 'Baaria' will be the officiating film. Meanwhile, 'Chengdu, I love You' is selected as the closing ceremony film.


This year, a total of 24 films are nominated for the awards, 5 judges of renowned directors, authors and actors are selected as this year's panel. Two-times Golden Bauhinia awards winning director Ang Li leads the panel to decide the most deserving for the awards.


'Accidents' produced by Johnny To, directed by Cheng Pou Sui, led by Louis Koo and Richie Ren and 'Prince of Tears' directed by Yang Fan becomes the two Chinese film battling in Venice. Female lead of 'Accidents', Michelle Ye was also present at Venice Film Festival, she expressed being very happy and that has prepared seven to eight suits of attire and accessories for the event, and that they will set off for Venice tomorrow.
